In 2006, the process of integrating environmental values into the structure of the Consorci de la Zona Franca began. An environmental management system has been built for the activities carried out in the building of the head offices of this Consortium, the vehicle fleet park and the common areas of the Zona Franca Industrial Estate.

The Consorci has an Environmental Management System that is based on the requirements stipulated in the EMAS Rules and the requirements of UNE-EN ISO 14001: 2004: Environmental management systems. As a result in 2007 it obtained  ISO-14.001 and the EMAS certificate in 2008.
